Therefore, when tackling challenging spray coatings, systematic planning and execution are required, encompassing multiple aspects, including material selection, process optimization, equipment configuration, and personnel skills. 
  • Material Selection and Pretreatment
  • Sheet metal materials vary widely, including stainless steel, aluminum alloy, and galvanized sheet. The surface properties of each material significantly influence the spray coating results. Material pretreatment is particularly important in challenging spray coatings. The following are several key steps:
  • – Surface Cleaning: Before spraying, the surface of the material must be thoroughly cleaned of oil, rust, and impurities. Chemical cleaning, mechanical polishing, or sandblasting can be used to ensure a clean and contaminant-free surface.
  • – Surface Treatment: For certain special materials, such as aluminum alloys, anodizing or chemical conversion treatment may be required to enhance the coating’s adhesion.
  • – Anti-Rust Treatment: For materials prone to rust, phosphating or passivation treatment can be performed before spraying to improve the coating’s corrosion resistance.
